Keeping outdoors

• If you’re not bringing the Christmas tree indoors immediately, keep it in a sheltered place, and if possible place the Christmas Tree stump in water.

 

Bringing inside

• Give the Christmas tree a good shake.
• It is advantageous to cut half an inch off the bottom of the Christmas Tree stump in order to open up the pores, to increase water uptake.
• Place the Christmas tree away from heat sources e.g. radiators.
• Place the Christmas tree in a water holding stand or wedge in a bucket with pebbles, small stones or screwed up newspaper (but not earth or sand).

 

Upkeep

• Keep the Christmas tree stand full of water at all times, checking it daily.

Research has found that your Christmas Tree will like plain tap water best, stay away from additives!
